Always Excellent food and prompt service. New menu looks great
Excellent food for a great price. Keep your expectations in check around service and ambiance, but enjoy the food and (reasonably) quick turnaround for orders.
My next go to place for south indian / udipi dishes
Nice place for happy light meal.
We tried Edison's location first time. Regulars to Parsippany location.
Their food is awesome! I love to go their.
The rava masala dosa was tasty. The idli was soft and spongy. The coconut chutney and sambar were also tasty. The dosa was not as crisp as I have had at other places. The plastic tray on which we got our food was like being back in India - it had definitely not been cleaned (and I doubt they have a dish washer for sanitization of anything) - but if you're too clean it's not good for you either. The prices are great.
Average food, not what it used to be. Past their prime. Service is standard, you order - they give not much more to it. The sambar could be better.
Love eating dosa and uthpam here. Samber, cocunut chutni are good, much better then other resturants on oak tree road. Prices are very resonable also.
Not fine dining. Self service. Basic utensils. Bland decor. The food though is excellent if you like dosas. Very cheap.
Authentic South Indian food(Dosa, Vada, etc) at a cheaper rate compared to competitors. Ambiance is not great.
No doubt, it is the tastiest Dosa in NJ. Surprisingly, it is the most inexpensive restaurant in the town too. They should focus on improving the neatness. A cheerful face by counter folks would go a long way
Great dosas. Found weekday we enjoy more than week end.
Most likely the greatest and cheapest- simple South Indian vegetarian restaurant in all of Iselin
Had the Onion Marsala Dosa and it was excellent.
Best place for south Indian food.
Just okay. I had to wait for one of the item to come. Had to take it to go. Set Dosa meh.. not really ..
I used to be a regular customer at this place. I love their sambhar. But one wednesday when I went there with my family I had a horrible experience with the quality of food i was served. Their customer service has been horrible but I used to neglect that as their quality used to be the best. Not anymore.
Wish there was a 3.5 star. It's not as bad as a 3 rating, but not as good as 4. Dosa is awesome . No doubts.. but chutney and sambar aren't authentic or good. For me, chutyney is key. U can't have dosa with a not so good chutney. Also , they should try making other chutneys like tomato, pudina etc etc. It's not so pricey which is a good thing. Vada was good but again, i wish they had tasty chutneys to go with vada. Overall a decent restaurant..
Food is good but need to work on there sitting area and attitude of the lady at the counter. She needs to smile a bit.
The food was good and economical around the circle but you have to bear with parking issue and also the wait time. Its all self service and we had to wait for 45 minutes after ordering food, it was very crowded on Saturday evening. They should increase staff especially the cooking, to get rid off waiting issues. If you can handle parking issues and wait times, its must place to visit for some good South Indian food.
Excellent dosas.
One of the best dosa shops in NJ. The only downside is that their quality shifts from time to time, going from the best dosa in NJ to subpar dosa.
It's an okay place for south Indian meals. The taste of their chutney keeps varying and not consistent.
Ambience 2.5/5Food 3.5/5Service - SelfFew years ago this was the best dosa place in central jersey. But lately food is becoming mediocre and it doesn’t taste same as it used to before. Price for the food would be cheapest among all the south indian joints in NJ. They definitely need to improve on the size of sambhar bowl to less of a quantity for one full size dosa.
Economical with no compromise to taste. Authentic taste.
Been there number of times, this place is decent. Food quality and taste is good.
Doses are good, minimal decor, prices are okay, service is also minimal. Only thing lacking is a smiling person who takes the order. A basic setup with good doses, good when you are craving for south indian and dont have the pre prep ready for dosage. Worth a visit again..
Nice ! Quick Service, great food!
Best dosa.
The food is spectacular but the actual place needs renovation and is not proffesional at all. The lady at the cash register are very rude and arrogant. They do not seem friendly at all. They do a number system and you have to come get the food from the counter yourself.
Awesome authentic Indian food.
This is a great place for South Indian food, especially for variety of tasty Dosas. The Sambhar and Coconut chutney are also tasty. The waiting time is too much, but prices are cheap. The plastic trays used to serve food are not so good. But to sum up ,it ka a good place.
Food is undoubtedly very tasty. BUT service is very poor. They can't even smile and there have been times that I am waiting to give my order but the owner turned to get something in front of me and didn't even asking for excuse and did not return till atleast 7-8min. They can easily win hearts by smile and being little generous on chutney & sambhar.
Really good place for authentic South Indian dishes. Simple yet tasty. Good variety and normal price. A must visit place for best South Indian food... Thumbs up.
Great Madrasi food.Unsmiling , unwelcoming staff.
The food is good, very reasonably priced. You can walk out spending $7 and be full to the brim. The selection of dosas is vast. The service is not meant to be “good” by any means. No one is going to serve you your food. You get called up. If you ask nicely they will provide you more sambar. People tend to mistake someone who does not talk as someone who is being rude. Good place, only downside is the parking lot, it is the worst part of the experience.
Been going to this place for several years. The food is always good and tastes consistently same. Service could always better. The lady owner is very stingy and always gives you a look of disdain when asking for more sambhar and chutney. Others usually will give more. Ultimately, I keep going to this place for the food not for the service. Parking space is also limited during busy hours.
Good food as always, tho sometime they get annoyed when you ask for extra sambhar and chutney. I think they are understaffed and overworked, so maybe that’s why. I believe have a little change in management can do great for the place. Never had any sort of issue with their food, that is the reason why I go there and will continue to go there.
Delicious ...very clean
Worst service and very rude staff. Avoid it at all costs..you will get far better quality and tasty dosas elsewhere.
Very slow services. Food is ok.
All these years was very good food lately poor service and lately food taste Not so good.counter person not at all friendly.
Changing my review for poor quality of service. My receipt for dosas showed the time of order for 2 dosas at 13:21 and by the time I got my order it was 14:03. The couple who were running the place were constantly quarreling over the way the staff were handing over food to customers. Agreed, they serve food at low cost, but a little courteousness towards customers can help. It's not that we are eating for free.
Love their food, but not the same everytime... hardly any parking... when busy...and long wait times
Food was decent but the service was terrible. The tables were really sticky and the lady was rude. Management needs to improve.
Great dosas! And the mango lassis are really good, just the right amount of sweetness.
Dosa are really good. But staff seems little cold. Also sambhar quantity is too less often make you ask for refill.
1. Maintains same quality2. We are going to this restaurant for more than 6 years3. Be prepared to see lot of ethnic Asian Indians who loves this.
A small but nice place to savor some south Indian delicacies especially dosa, vada idli etc. Not the best of interiors but a good option taste wise.
